Why do you have Love for Pilates?
Where does one begin? I instantly found a connection to my core that I hadn’t experienced and was able to take the tension away from my hips and shoulders and put it where it belonged, in the muscles! From this my work as an aerialist improved immensely.
What is your favorite Pilates move?
Just one? Really?! I don’t have a favorite. Here’s why, they’re all beneficial.
What can we expect when we take your class?
A lot of focus on form and length. It will be hard. The muscles will burn and you will sit in that burn for a bit while but it will always be worth it. We will stretch, tone and strengthen!
Describe your teaching style:
I love to be hands on and helpful by giving visuals and support to help students reach their full potential. No cheating. I don’t sacrifice form for speed. So get ready to sweat and be challenged but in a loving way!
What is your guilty pleasure?
Wine and terrible reality TV. There I said it. The worse the show the better!
What is your favorite song to work out to?
I’m not picky. As long as it has a fun beat, I’m down to workout!
What interest you when you are not teaching?
I’m an actor. That’s my first passion. I use my time to take classes, audition and create projects with other artists. I’m also a pole dancer and aerialist.
Best words of encouragement for your class:
“Your ego is not your amigo” I say it all the time. Take modifications, listen to your body. Honor where you are. Be happy with where you’re at today and then you will see improvement.
