Love for Pilates offers in-studio, hands on teacher training/instructor certifications.
We offer a fully comprehensive, 450-hour program turning you into a pilates professional versed in each module; the Mat repertoire, the Reformer, the Cadillac and the Wunda Chair.
We will dive into the world of pilates starting with the fundamentals: the fundamentals of the method, the fundamentals of the equipment, the fundamentals of the body and where pilates all got started.
In each module we break down the classical version of the work (the way Joseph Pilates taught it) and apply progressive technique to each and every exercise. You will learn how to scale back each exercise for a more beginner approach and how to elevate each exercise for a more advanced approach.
The training portion of the program is 19 weeks long meeting twice a week.
Our program goes beyond memorization and provides hands-on, demonstrative and action-based learning and mentorship.
by the end of your PROGRAM you will know:
- Pilates history and principles
- Common injuries and how to progress accordingly
- How to apply an exercise to rehabilitate an injury
- A full range of execution of each exercise from beginner to advanced
- Teacher assisted stretches
- Safety strategies when working on the equipment
- Foundational anatomy
- Client assessment
- How to correct muscle imbalances & postural issues
- How to strategically instruct and cue on each exercise
- Studio etiquette and machine maintenance
- Teacher value proposition
- Proper hands-on adjustments
program REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must commit to all meeting days
- Must be healthy/injury free to be able to perform all pilates movement
- Must complete application and commitment agreement
- Must complete practice hours within 1 year of the program start date
- Full tuition paid by the start of the program (unless payment plan is agreed upon)
